If you Google “All Around Horse”, Captain’s picture should pop up— and for good reason. There is nothing I’ve thrown at him that he hasn’t taken in stride. But will he… Lope pretty circles, do simple or flying changes, pivots, and stops? Of course! Head out on the trail, alone or in a group? He doesn’t care a bit. Wrangle horses in from pasture? Just another day at the office. Drag calves in the branding pen? Absolutely. Cross icy creeks, rivers, irrigation ditches, thick brush, and steep rocky trails? Like the seasoned professional he is. Sidepass over to be mounted and stand quietly hobbled while I eat lunch? Of course. Give you a ride to town for coffee? Only if you share! Stand quiet to be bathed, clipped and saddled? Sure does!
