Bear is a joy to ride and has been a trusted buddy for many things. We have owned him for a year and a half and he has always proven to be honest, gentle and consistent! From running saddlehorses off of pasture, moving cows and calves around the ranch, performing nice circles in the arena or just going down the trail for fun, Bear takes care of me with sure feet and willingness to please. He will go up or down anything in our path and rolls with whatever I ask. Cracking a stockwhip off of his back is one of my favorite tricks that he accommodates, and he loved swimming bareback in the pond this summer. He rode down the main street of town like a seasoned pro and stood in a line of cars at the coffee drive-through with no worries at all. His gaits are smooth and comfortable, and he has excellent ground manners. Bear has good energy and a pep in his step without being hot, and is happy to have an adventure. He has a soft mouth and honest ambition that is best suited to an intermediate-type rider, and he will treat them with complete transparency and reliability! He is not spooky and has a lot of integrity with time off. He has handled several months of wintertime vacation with no funny business. Bear has certainly earned our affection and appreciation!
