Palomino
Gelding
Pal is a true buddy and friend. With a personable and pleasant demeanor, Pal really is a chipper little gentleman. In addition to loaning him to multiple summer trail riding guests, we let a newbie rider borrow him for a “real deal” day on the mountain with us. Pal faithfully picked his way through deep deadfall, rocky crags and tangled creekbottoms in search of cows and bulls, and took great care of his rider. He patiently tied to a tree while we stopped for a picnic lunch, stood quietly to let us put on extra jackets from his back, and made good decisions when his rider wasn’t sure what to do. That story highlights who Pal is every day! He is a joy to ride bareback in a halter for a Sunday stroll, picks you up at the mounting block, and is good to ride out alone or with a group. He is neither a turtle nor a hotrod, and remains surefooted through tough terrain. He is good with obstacles, water and bridges. Pal is a gem to ride for running the saddlehorses in off pasture and doesn’t get annoyed when he gets left behind! He does great with time off and is the same horse whether you ride him daily or monthly. He has proven himself safe in traffic and in town, too. Pal is just an awesome all-around gelding that is a joy to own! We could write a whole happy book about this guy! Ridden by Hadleigh True.
