Ruth

Like Ruth from the Bible, this little mare is loyal, gentle, peaceful, confident yet unhurried, and very trustworthy. It is common for us to describe a gentle and amiable horse as “kind” but Ruth is kind to the next level. She often walks over at liberty to say hello and be by you without bothering you, and I think she would humbly give you her dying breath if the situation called for it. Ruth is an excellent trail horse who has gently given confidence to absolute beginners at the ranch. She is surefooted and willing to go wherever she is asked, good to ride out alone, excellent with time off, and would be a fabulous family horse to fit everyone from youngsters to grandparents. Ruth is just as peaceful and confident in traffic and the bustle of suburbia as she is out in the countryside, and has been consistent no matter the atmosphere. Ruth pastures with a mixed herd of mares and geldings without complaint and never causes trouble! We think the world of this little mare.
