Texas

Texas has been a favorite around here since she was born! Bred and raised here on the Powderhorn Ranch, we rode her until she was six years old, then sold her to a gentleman in the south. Years later we were thrilled to have the opportunity to buy her back! Texas is extra fun to ride! She has a fancy handle and has been shown in ranch sorting. She is a beast on cows and has a ton of natural ability. She has a nice stop, spin and lope departures, and rides soft in the bridle. She has been branded on and roped on in the pasture. She doesn’t care if you ride alone or in a group, and she’ll pick you up at the mounting block on cue. She has done all the ranch chores and earned her stripes. One of my favorite stories about Texas is when I went to get her out after months off, hopped on and went to wrangle a big herd of horses on pasture. She didn’t bobble one bit! Texas is solid, solid, solid and has some pep and “go” to her. She has always been penned/pastured with a mixed herd of geldings and mares, and is not mareish. She’s an enjoyable trail, ranch, or arena horse, with experience and maturity in each of those fields. Plus, she is one of the last Playgun Will Travel daughters available! Ridden by Hadleigh True.
