Washakie started life at the Wood ranch in Arkansas. As a three-year-old he was part of the 2010 Road to the Horse remuda. We liked the way Washakie moved and bought him after the event. He was started by Josh Lyons in his three-year-old summer. Since we got him back from Tennessee, we have used him on the ranch to move cows, ride fence, elk hunt and simply ride down the trail, but where he really shines is in the arena. He has a smooth trot and rocking chair lope that can be ridden all day. He has a soft face and willing mind in all he does with an excellent stop, roll-back, spin and side-pass as well as flying lead changes. He is a pleasure to ride in the arena. Washakie clips, bathes, trailers and stands well for the farrier. Ridden by Hollie True.
