Consigned by Carly Davis, Frisco is a good-looking AQHA 7 year old gelding who is in your pocket and wants to be your best friend. She started him for his previous owner and then she later purchased him in January of 2011. In the interim he pasture roped steers and roped both ends of the dummy in preparation for team roping. He has been ridden by intermediate kids as young as 10, as well as used by beginner adults to learn ranch sorting. He is a nice mover and a smooth ride. He is sound, healthy, and an easy keeper. Carly is willing to ride Frisco anywhere because he is so sure-footed, willing, and has so much heart and endurance. He is athletic, quick, and responsive to legs with a good handle; however, he is calm and is not excitable. He is cowy, rates well, handles a rope well, and will dig in and pull hard. He is strong and easily carried a 200+ pound pack in the steep mountains and has been ridden by a 250 pound man. He is playful in the pasture, hobbles, loads easily in a trailer, pulls kids on sleds on snowy days, has won ribbons at a gymkhana, has impressed the judges at an extreme cowboy race, and likes to swim. Carly has cast a fishing pole off of him, has flown a kite from his back, has enjoyed a frosty at the drive through at Wendy’s while on him, has ridden pens and roped in the feedlot, has ridden him in the Great Sand Dunes, herded cattle, wrangled horses, performed in front of an audience in a drill team, has camped in the mountains, has ridden miles of trails, and rode through a downtown parade in the midst of flags and a crowd. Of all the horses she has consigned to the Diamond-McNabb sales thus far, Frisco is her favorite, has the most personality, and she is going to miss him as her all-around horse.
